This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Anyway, in response to your comment on Legions Leap:
I'm glad you liked it. It was weird, I was just thinking to myself while sitting around on my computer, and all of a sudden the two words "legions leap" came to mind, and all of a sudden I was writing a poem. It came together really fast; must have finished it in about 15 minutes, tops. Such is the creatively bored mind, I suppose.
Now, as for Pooch Pants...things are slow. As I said before, I've nailed down LOTS of things that were nebulous before, and on the conceptual end of things I am nearly 100% complete with the first book, and quite far along with the second two. Many meaningful motifs, pithy conversations, and morbid witticisms are floating around in my head. But therein lies the problem: they're still in my head. The WRITING part is hard, and I'm still VERY inefficient at it. However, like I said I wrote a short story concerning Whumpert a while ago, and now I'm working on a short story that deals with the moon people and their culture. It promises to be by far my most ambitious writing yet in terms of narrative complexity and meaning, but it's not going to be very long, 10-20 pages or so. Most of my current efforts are directed towards it, and it should be done in about a month (I hope). Pooch Pants is by no means canceled, it's just that it's a LOT of work with little immediate return, and a short story is much more satisfying to write (and also better for improving my writing skills). After I'm done with this short story, I'll go back to Pooch Pants and continue slogging through that.
One thing YOU could do to help me with Pooch Pants would be to come up with a character design for a character that appears later on down the line. Basically when PP and crew go to Grabbage, where a native (female, yet unnamed) thief pickpockets the knobs, which she intends to use to pay off her debts to the mob. However PP catches her, and demands she return them; however she has hidden them and will only return them if PP and crew and come up with enough money to pay off her debts. So, they go to rob a bank (using PP's formidable lock-picking skills, of course). Now, I can't for the life of me think of what she should look like (or even what race she should be). She's a thief, so she should be a sneaky-ish creature, but she can't be like a weasel or anything (what with furries and all), an insect doesn't seem to fit, and amphibians aren't diverse enough, with Bloatback already being a main character (later). It's pretty important, as she's a de facto member of the PP crew for their time in Grabbage.
Anyway, that's something for you to work on. Expect an even more ridiculous amount of nonsense in my upcoming pre-college email (which will include the Whumpert short story, and perhaps a first section of the moon one).
What did I get banned for? Well, let's just say I'll tell you later, to decrease the risk of me getting banned again! It's quite absurd, but worth explaining in a different setting.
Lately I've been trying to improve my painting skills -- my anatomy and drawing abilities are significantly better now than in Germany, but I'm not quite where I want to be in terms of making color illustrations. Hopefully my upcoming illustration course will help that. I've worked out the composition of quite a few full-color pictures, as well as black and white pictures from the Moth Village. I'm progressing slowly, but I seriously want to take a year off after next year and devote my time to art and only art, preferably in Germany.
I'll have to think about the female character -- I was going to mention that we should have more female characters but I managed to forget every time. She has to be something unconventional, maybe something similar to a mugwhump... oh, speaking of mugwhumps, I only recently learned the word 'haberdashery' -- it's straight out of Whumpville, so incorporating it into the book would be perfect, along with a number of other whumpish words we can use -- I have a list somewhere.
I'm definitely looking forward to reading your short stories, and I'm going to dedicate more of the upcoming semesters to working on conceptual ideas for PP. I've been thinking of ways to make the locations more exotic (not in the tropical way) and to make different cultures and styles of architecture to help give the world a unique but plausible feel.
I'll be heading to Alaska soon so visit a friend (and by friend I mean partner) so I'll probably have some hilarious tales about Russian Orthodox priests, Aleuts and and polar bears to share. After that I'm back in college, taking two art courses, a math course, and an English course, so I'll find any possible excuse to incorporate the Peezy into my school weezy. Anyhoo, I'll looking forward to receiving your next gloriously bloated message, and as soon as I get my hands on a scanner I'll send you the new stuff.
